A quick walk down the beach from the house. The only place in walking distance. They are quite strict about reservations being made 1-2 days in advance but we have walked in and called the same day. Seafood and good drinks. Cash only.

Groceries

A great gourmet grocery option and is kind of like a mini Walmart but stocks quality organic produce and international foods and brands. It is next the the older version- Mega. Mega is a budget option. If organic and gourmet food isn’t a priority that’s your best bet.

This is a tiny grocery store in Punta Mita. Has all of the brands and items you can find at La Comer but at a really inflated price. It’s good to restock on a few things but I wouldn’t recommend a full weeks worth of groceries from there unless budget isn’t an issue. No fresh meats, only frozen.

Things you should know..

The best grocery stores are in between Puerto Vallarta and Litbu. There is also a Walmart close to the airport if you need anything your typical Walmart carries. All listed carry wine, beer and alcohol. All stores, restaurants and shopping accept pesos or US dollars. They tend to cap US dollars at grocery stores around $200 but you can use a credit or debit card. The cheapest way to get pesos is to simply take them from the ATM. You will get the current exchange rate of the day vs the standard 16-18 pesos per dollar. Most restaurants except the dollar around 18 pesos.
