This is a little out of the way but another adult bar. It is a well established sushi and desert bar in the heart of the up and coming Opelika downtown. Many Auburn locals now escape to Opelika for nigthlife.

Its been a while since I stopped in, but I best describe this as your basic dive, for those of us who love a dive! You will find almost every walk of life here. They also frequently have some of the best live music in town.

Food Scene
This restaurant is brand new and long anticipated in the old and beautiful depot station. I have not had the chance to eat here, but I went to high school with the head chef and know for a fact that he's a genius!

Auburn can get overrun pretty easily during big events. Opelika is fast becoming the preferred alternative. The Bred Pub is one of the better examples of the unpretentious charm of Opelika's railroad district.

With the gigantic KIA automotive plant just outside of town, came an influx of Korean culture including delicious food, and karaoke! The Green Pig has both. Its not the prettiest restaurant, but its going to be pretty authentic.

This is just a meat and three, but boy is it good. I eat here almost every chance I get! There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating but you can expect it to fill up quickly, especially after church. You will almost always find a line but its counter service done well so the line stays moving.

Sightseeing
This has been the heart of Auburn from the beginning. I truly hope you get to witness the entire town meeting each other here for a celebration! I have been moved to tears here more than once.

Just outside of town, this was once a popular swimming hole with me and my friends growing up. It also offers trails for hiking and bike riding. Its name comes from a Native American story similar to Romeo and Juliet...I think.

This is really not a bad art museum for small town Alabama. The collections, both permanent and visiting, are significant and the grounds are beautiful. They frequently host interesting and relevant events for everyone.

There are far more boutiques and the like downtown than there was when I was a student here. Behind The Glass was one of the first on the scene and is still one of the more unique you will find.
