Enjoy local and international jazz ensembles from this iconic venue on the Brisbane River. It's particularly famous as it has sloping floors which makes it seem like the river is in the space with you! Watch people in canoes paddle by at night behind the band as they sweep you away with their song.

I just love the "Goldie". Spectacular beaches, fabulous food and so many shops selling the touristy things you can bring back for family and friends. Now with the advent of the new light rail, you can catch a train from our local station in Woolloongabba and get to Surfers Paradise in no time. Grab your towel and swimming costume and relax as the train takes you to the beach. Great way to attend the Commonwealth Games this year on the Gold Coast.

World famous "Gabba" hosts international cricket matches in the summer, and live concerts are also held here.
