Probably the coziest café in Linköping. The interior is decorated in an old-fashioned style, with lots of little rooms and places to sit. The outdoor tables are very popular in summer. The cakes are wonderful.

Jade is a 1 minute walk from our apartment, and offers a great asian buffé for lunch and dinner, with lots to choose from.

Parks & Nature
Close to the city center, this park is still fairly large, and you can have a calm moment here. There are two cafés/restaurants here as well as a popular playpark for kids and some beach volleyball fields.

A really big area, famous for its many old oaks, and classed as a nature reserve, but easy to reach from the city. There are numerous trails to walk here, and you'll often be walking close to livestock out on the fields. For bird watchers, Rosenkällasjön has good facilities.

A beautiful and surprisingly big forest between the city center and the university's Valla campus. An abundance of trails to walk, some of them well suited for strollers and wheel chairs, and others more narrow and overgrown. A suggestion would be to start from Gamla Linköping and just see where the paths lead you. If you're lucky, you might see deer here.

A suggestion would be to start from Gamla Linköping and just see where the paths lead you. If you're lucky, you might see deer here.

Sightseeing
My favourite place in Linköping! When the city center was modernised, old buildings were moved to this area. It is now a wonderful and cozy example of parts of old Linköping. There are plenty of specialised stores here, including a wood carver, a soap maker and a children's book store. It is also a perfect starting point for a walk in Valla forest.
