Vegan Steam Fried Bun Shop. This hole in the wall makes delicious Taiwanese steam fried buns filled with cabbage, bamboo, or mustard leaves. And at NT$12 each this is probably the cheapest meal you can buy in Taipei.
Very close to Taipei Main Station, a short MRT ride away.
Also open for breakfast, great to take these out on a long day-trip.

This temple and it's surrounding areas are steeped in history. With near by food and thieves market, as well as the notorious Snake Alley, there is plenty to see in this area.
