About Schererville
Historically, the town of Schererville was referred to as the "Crossroads of the Nation" because settlers traveling to the west used old Indian trails as a major intersection. The intersection of U.S. 30 and U.S. 41 is still known as the "Crossroads of America." Today, the dynamic town offers a variety of shopping, dining and recreation opportunities.
Schererville is just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, making it a convenient spot for those who work in the city. The town is also 11 miles south of Lake Michigan, where residents can go fishing, swimming, boating, and more.
Travel is particularly easy from Schererville that is within an hour’s drive of O’Hare and Midway International Airports.
