Twt Hill ~ A nice walk

This massive earth mound marks the site of Rhuddlan’s first castle. It sits above the River Clwyd,it was built in 1073 by Robert of Rhuddlan, the mound would have been topped with timber fortifications, though it is possible that a stone structure was erected at a later date. The castle moved between Welsh and English hands several times during the troubled 11th and 12th centuries, until it was replaced by Rhuddlan Castle – built just a short distance away by King Edward I in 1277.
A nice walk, the mound is what remains of a Norman Warlords Castle. The views are really nice from the top.

A lovely day out at Colwyn Bay Beach

This Beautiful sandy beach is a 15 min drive away, it has very clean. The council have spent lots of money here and it really shows. Plenty of parking, perfect for riding bikes along the coast, endless sandy beach with shower heads to wash off sandy bodies and feet on the pathway, toilet facilities, ice cream huts. I recommend taking a picnic as the beach is quite a way out of the main attractions/town but it is a really nice beach now they have worked on it
