This canoe livery is a bit farther from the Inn but if the upper river is low choose this one.! Jeff's is located out of Annapolis, MO and puts groups in on the lower black which is deeper so less dragging in low water times of the season.

An absolute wonderment and a must see for easy hike and picnics. This park is charming with huge pink granite rocks that resemble pachyderms. Young and old alike will succumb to its natural beauty and charm.

Probably the most famous and most visited state Park in all of Missouri. Fantastic views and swimming opportunities for most everyone. Store, parking lots, and well maintained trails to all the main overlooks and swim areas. Great picnic areas provided. A word of caution though, Do keep a close watch on the children as foot entrapments can happen in the rocky areas and while swimming in the faster shoots. This park is a must see!

Johnson Shut-Ins State Park Campground
Probably the most famous and most visited state Park in all of Missouri. Fantastic views and swimming opportunities for most everyone. Store, parking lots, and well maintained trails to all the main overlooks and swim areas. Great picnic areas provided. A word of caution though, Do keep a close watch on the children as foot entrapments can happen in the rocky areas and while swimming in the faster shoots. This park is a must see!

Missouri White Water Championships
Every 3rd Weekend in March on the only true white water river in Missouri, the St. Francois river. This is located at Teiman's Shut Ins off Hwy 72 going East apx 8-9 miles. Its a good hike from the parking lot but a very colorful event with kayakers and canoeist from all over this and neighboring states.

Arcadia Valley Mountain Music Festival
Every May and October, usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend of those two months. Featuring bluegrass and other country style music by noted musicians from all around.

National Mountain Bike Enduro Race Weekend
2nd weekend of May. to be exact it will be held May 14/15, of 2022. This is held at the Shepherd Mountain Bike course in Arcadia valley/ Ironton MO. our newly opened and highly ranked Mountain bike race course which just opened in 2021.
Very Exciting event to see and a great time to be here!

Arcadia valley BBQ Contest and Rock Music Festival
Always held the 2nd weekend of June on main Street and the Court House Square in Ironton, Missouri. A most FUN Event with fabulous food and fantastic boogie down music. bands from STL and as far away as Nashville have been on the venue. Always top notch music and BBQ. BBQ Contestants can win big in this sanctioned event!
