Family Fun
Stone Mountain Park is Georgia's most visited attraction. With more than 3,200 acres, the park is a unique destination where guests can experience an exciting variety of attractions, entertainment, and recreation. Check out Sky Hike, the nation's largest family adventure course in the treetops, or a 4D movie. The Lasershow Spectacular at Stone Mountain Park is the world's longest-running laser show. Other attractions include Summit Skyride, Dinosaur Explore, Dinotorium, Historic Square, Farmyard, Camp Highland Outpost, Scenic Railroad, Great Locomotive Chase Adventure, Geyser Towers, golf, and museums.
The largest high-relief sculpture in the world depicts hand-chiseled figures of the Civil War. At Memorial Hall, visitors can see the carving's original designs, scale models, and an 11-minute feature film.
Climbing the mountain or walking around it makes for good excercise and great family fun! Visit the lake for a Duckboat ride, fishing, kayaking etc.

My true favorite grocery store here is Your Dekalb Farmers Market. This is the largest farmers market in the country and is about 4 miles from here. They have produce from 190 countries (there are 196 countries in the world) flown in daily and the prices are incredibly cheap, especially for organic and sustainable farming practices. Their selections and options for meat, cheese, fruits and vegetables is unparalleled to anything else you have seen. Chefs call it their Disneyland. They are working on expanding it to be the largest grocery store in the world. The market is located at 3000 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030. Wear a jacket, the entire place is chilled to at least 65 degrees with the meat and cheese sections being even colder.
