An iconic place in Seattle - former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. A great place to get a view of South Lake Union and Seattle downtown. My personal go-to for a short walk and Seattle view.

Kayaking, paddle boarding or sailing on SLU is my personal favorite way to explore Seattle. Rentals are available nearby and there are a few airbnb experiences offer sailing from SLU to Lake Washington. Definitely try one of those, especially the sailing experience - seeing the bridge opens for me to pass through is just breathtaking!

Rentals are available nearby and there are a few airbnb experiences offer sailing from SLU to Lake Washington. Definitely try one of those, especially the sailing experience - seeing the bridge opens for me to pass through is just breathtaking!

Well - if you'd like to check out the touristy place, Space needle is another must-go for you. I've heard that the newly built glass floor is fancy (and scary) but haven't checked it out myself yet. I would highly recommend you to walk around in that area, giving the Chihuly Garden and Glass a shot, or maybe check out the museum of Pop Culture.

5500 Phinney Ave NPerfect place to meet your animal friends in Seattle. The zoo is perfect size with great vibe. It's also very close to Greenlake, if you are staying with us (great choice!). It seems that the restaurant has changed names - it's now called "SMILE Thai". This is a recent discovery of mine and it has been my go-to for the past few weeks. Their fresh roll is a must-try. Fried tofu and pat see ew is amazing!
