The Cathedral City of Wells
Wells is just 5 miles away from The Post House and well worth a visit. This ancient City features an array of beautiful streets and historic buildings, as well as a stunning Cathedral, The Bishops Palace and The Vicars Close (the oldest inhabited Street in England). Wells is also home to a number of outstanding restaurants and boutique shops. In the market square on Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a great Farmers Market - not to be missed! The breathtaking scenery makes it the ideal place to visit - whether you fancy taking the plunge and abseiling down the cliff face, or seeing the beautifully presented stalactites and stalagmites. This is wonderful walking country and Jacobs Ladder is a real challenge.

Spiralling turrets and pinnacles adorn the roof, ornate stone carvings and church-like windows complete the Gothic look, giving the feel of a mysterious, fairytale mansion. There is a glorious walled kitchen garden. Terraced lawns give way to spacious parkland scattered with hundreds of trees collected by the family.
