My girlfriend and I both had an absolutely amazing time at Manu's place! From the get go Manu was super helpful via the AirBnB app and both he and his family were extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived.
I've stayed at a lot of AirBnB places internationally (mostly through my girlfriends account) and I can genuinely say that Manu is my favourite host to date, he's such a fun and helpful chap, and we both really enjoyed hanging out with him!
The location is incredible, we stayed in the corner room on the lake and were in total awe of the vast bird life found there, each day we watched the Kites and Kingfishers flying and hunting around the lake - I just wished I had brought a telephoto lens with me. The location is a little off of the beaten path, but it's super easy to find - just pass Manu's number on to a taxi or tuktuk driver before you depart and Manu will help direct them.
For activities, I'd recommend hiring Manu's bikes and cycling around the local area, as well as taking his canoe for a spin up the water way, parking up on the nearby riverbank and visiting the local shop for some snacks. If you're staying for a few days, I'd also recommend going out on the non-motorised boat tour with Suku, Manu's friend and boatman.
All in all a very relaxing and fun place to stay, what's more, Manu was super helpful at organising a tuktuk to take us onto our next location.
We also celebrated my birthday whilst here and Manu was so sweet and went out of his way to pick up a cake so that I could have a little birthday celebration! It was so lovely of him and a testament to him character!
Thank you so much for a really memorable stay, Manu, we'll be sure to come again if ever we return to Kerala :)
