The "Magnolia House" is a 1 bed small cottage in the quaint town of Mt Gilead in the Uwharrie Natl Forest region. While not waterfront, the property is centric to so much fun! Use as a base camp to boating, fishing, hiking/jeep/mountain bike trails & more! Perfect for a couple or small family, its small footprint is efficient w/a Queen bed, a twin loft overhead, plus a full sleep sofa in the LR. Pet (max 2) & trailer friendly circular drive. This cozy home with two distinct living areas overlooks a wide expanse of water on Badin Lake. Enjoy exploring the lake by kayaking (kayaks provided) or by hiking the many trails in nearby Uwharrie Forest. A public boat launch is nearby so bring your boat or other water vehicles. The Asheboro Zoo is a beautiful drive less than an hour away. Take the time to read the guest review below who says it all! Security cameras: 1 on drive, 1 on dock. 2 pet max, $125 per pet, no cats. 2 night minimum.

This beautiful vintage apartment is located in Historic Downtown Mount Gilead. This historic beauty features hardwood floors and beadboard ceilings which are original to the building from early 1920s. Situated near restaurants and shopping, this is an ideal romantic "Mayberryesque" experience. Outdoor activities include the Uwharrie mountains and Lake Tillery. The historic Town Creek Indian Mound is another must see. Lefler's Place cafe is one of the oldest restaurants in NC. Built in 1922.

Beautiful 3BR/2BA lakehouse overlooking Badin Lake in gorgeous North Carolina, 1 hr east of Charlotte. Amazing views from 5 stories above the lake, looking towards Uwharrie National Forest (no houses across the lake). Sunset & sunrise are a must see. Stairs lead down to dock for fishing, swimming, relaxing, & kayaking. Three bedrooms offer sleeping for up to 10 guests. Fully stocked kitchen, outdoor grill, outdoor fire pit, super fast wifi, cable TV. The perfect place to relax any season!
