Our modern interpretation of a classic Catskills Boarding House. Two painstakingly restored buildings comprising eight units ranging from one to four bedrooms. 8 separate apartment units each with their own living room and kitchenette. Designed to follow the elegant simplicity of the Shakers, with a focus on natural materials, functional design, and the luxury the comes from well made things. The Boarding House is an homage to the Catskills of old where hospitality came first.

Our flock of friendly sheep is always open to pets and chin scratches.

We provide an authentic cabin feel with all the modern conveniences. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are within walking distance. Stay in one of our five beautiful units, all separate, each featuring private and in-suite baths. A complimentary coffee bar is available at all times. Our guests are encouraged to relax in our private gazebo on the property. We offer keyless self entry and online reservations for your convenience!

VlyHouse - Room 5

Our home sits on 16 acres of land including 2 beautiful swamps filled with amazing wildlife. The Vly Life is located in the very tranquil area known as the Vly in Stone Ridge, just two hours from NYC. We are centrally located, 25 minute drive to New Paltz, Woodstock and Kingston. All beds have down bedding and pillows along with lush towels. No detail has been forgotten. Come stay with us! Check out our optional meals!

Room 5: The Red Rose Motel and Tavern

Our lounge is available to guests, as well as outdoor amenities: two fire pits, hammocks, a backyard patio, and picnic tables throughout the grounds. Our tavern is open for food, beer, wine and cider Fri-Mon, 5-9p. Coffee, fridge and charcoal grills are provided. WiFi is not guaranteed in the guest rooms. *This room is handicap accessible and ADA compliant.
