The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Nestling on the shores of the Beauly Firth only 10 miles from the city of Inverness, close to the NC500, Killearnan Brae is a luxury self-contained apartment. With boundless bird life including Osprey, the gardens make an ideal spot for birdwatching. Walking from the house you will find Killearnan Church and the Medieval Redcastle both rich in Scottish History. The picturesque village of Beauly is a 5 min drive. Cosy bungalow in nice wee village; shops and train/bus routes. The Ground floor is included in this listing; upstairs is kept for storage. One double bed only, the listing says one bed in lounge, only sofas but I can’t correct this… There is a covered deck out the back door, great for sitting out in the rain! Good base for access to rest of NW Scotland; on the edge of the NC500, 14 miles from Inverness. Please read the house manual; note this is a quiet street and not a party house..

Garden Cottage with hot tub, castle & sea views

This charming cottage is completely unique having the old Redcastle ruin as a back drop and views of the Beauly Firth directly in front. There is an idyllic stream going through the garden and we have recently planted a wild flower meadow at the end of the garden. It has been beautifully refurbished in 2023 and we feel incredibly proud of the results. The cottage is located in the sleepy hamlet of Milton of Redcastle and really is an idyllic and very comfortable place to come and unwind.

The Courtyard, Foulis Castle, Highland Scotland

Foulis Castle, Evanton is near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

Relax at this unique getaway in the small seaside town of Fortrose. The accommodation has its own private balcony and boasts stunning views of Fortrose harbour and across the Moray Firth. Chanonry Point, the best place for dolphin watching in Britain, is only a 20 min walk. Close to the popular NC500 route, it is ideal for a romantic break for two. The wood burning stove will keep you cosy on colder nights. There is so much to explore in the area, two nights may not be enough!
