The house is 20 minutes West of Harrisonburg VA and JMU.

The Bushwhacker cabin is a rebuilt pre-civil war log cabin on 10 acres with spectacular mountain views. The cabin is surrounded by the Monongahela National forest with hiking trails starting from the cabin and a beautiful mountain steam that runs on the property, providing a calming, stress free background. The Bushwhacker cabin is only a short distance to the Marlinton Williams river , 45min to Snowshoe, scenic highway, the Greenbrier,Hot Springs VA, and Lewisburg WV(voted coolest town)

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. This is the perfect spot for solo travelers, families, or couples to relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors. Find yourself drinking coffee, finishing up work, or deep in a good book in the sunroom. Then fill your day with outdoor activities throughout the Allegheny Highlands. At night, grill out and enjoy dinner around the table. Then light a bonfire and stargaze before ending the night.

Stony Brook Nordic Cabin

A bright open space with large windows and high ceilings that compliment the view of surrounding foliage. A large screened-in porch at the front of the house is perfect for intimate gatherings. A hot tub is available alongside the house in addition to a two-person outdoor shower, and corn hole boards and a fire pit offer additional options for family fun. You won’t have cell phone signal out here -and the WiFi isn’t strong enough to run too many devices at one time.

Little Cabin in the Woods is quiet and secluded!

Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.

Geese, heron, and an occasional eagle fly along the river valley.
