Andrew and Ann welcome you to our beautiful Victorian age Bed and Breakfast, in the centre of Ambleside, The Lake District. We are situated in the centre of Ambleside, but off the main road. There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. We do only have two room listed on AirBNB, so if you require more than one room or we are listed as being full then please do contact us directly. We hope to see you soon

Howgill Cottage B&B on Hadrian’s Wall

We offer comfortable B&B accommodation for a maximum of 4 people, in the lovely sandstone cottage which is also our home. Evening meals are available but must be booked 48 hours in advance (72 hours notice required for special dietary requirements or intolerances) Please note that evening meal is only available to walkers or those arriving by public transport. We’re happy to make recommendations for guests who have their own transport. And we’re just 200 paces from the Hadrian’s Wall path

Double room above the market town of Penrith.

We have one private room which can sleep up to 2 people. This can be set up as either double or twin room, please request your preference on booking. There is WiFi in the room The kitchen and bathroom are shared. We also have laundry facilities. Pets welcome. Parking is available. Penrith is the ‘heart of the Lake District’ and a good place to start discovering this wonderful area. We are only minutes from M6 junction 40. We welcome cyclists and walkers. There is a secure hallway for cycles.

Motherby House is an 18th century grade II traditional farmhouse, the house has lost none of its original charm. Hooks embedded in oak beams show where bacon was once cured and log fires add to the warm homely atmosphere. Families are always welcome. Unwind and relax in our oak beamed living room with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a selection of home made cakes. There is off road parking and secure storage for cycles. The hamlet of Motherby, is positioned between Penrith and Keswick.

Cottage bedroom, hamlet, charm, wonderful Host!

Guests are assured of a warm welcome and a comfortable stay at Kilfarnock Cottage, with your own bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Set in the glorious Nith Valley, near Dumfries, the cottage is an ideal base to explore the unspoilt beauty of Galloway. After a delicious home-cooked breakfast, there's much to do in this lovely area - from nearby Drumlanrig Castle to wonderful gardens, walking, bird watching, fishing and golf. There are two excellent restaurants within easy reach.

Treetop Room

Stunning original slate walls grace both the bedroom and bathroom of Treetop. The result is an elegant, period feature room, situated on our top (second) floor of the main house. With a solid oak, king-sized bed and a comfortable sofa bed, Treetop can sleep three adults or two adults and one child. The beautiful en-suite bathroom has a deep-soaking corner tub and marble basin. Please note that this bath does not have a shower fitment.

Cosy room, rural escape for Kielder, Newcastleton

A snug cottage bedroom at Larriston Farm - a mid 19th century farm steading around a cobbled courtyard. We're in a very rural setting, 20-25 minutes' drive from Kielder Water, the observatory and also Newcastleton. Dogs welcome. We offer breakfast and you're welcome to use the kitchen to cook a light evening meal. We have another double room too - check our other listing.
