The Nest is privately located overlooking our farm & highlands. It's rustic & glamorous with small touches that make it unique. The Nest sleeps four (second bed is a double futon) & has full cooking & washroom facilities. It's equipped with a wood stove, fridge, BBQ, & solar lights. The Deckhouse

Welcome to the Deckhouse, a cozy and clean 2-bedroom cottage with a beautiful and tranquil harbour side view. Located in Dingwall, a small picturesque fishing community located approximately half way around the Cabot Trail. Although we do allow fur babies, please take note of the additional rules with regards to pets. Melinda's mountain retreat, dog & family friendly.

Melinda moved to Cape Breton in 1974 from Tennessee. She married a local, opened a small hair salon, and raised a big garden and four children. Up until suffering a major stroke in 2021, she was an avid swimmer and cross country skier. But, most of all she loved connecting with all kinds of different people, young and old. Although severely limited from the stroke, she still enjoys meeting people and seeing family and friends.
