Cosy Lakeland terraced cottage situated in the charming, picturesque village of Portinscale, about a 5 min drive from Keswick (or a 20 minute walk) and providing self catering holiday accommodation for couples or a small family. Lovely one-bedroom cottage in Cumbria, located in Melmerby within the beautiful Eden Valley and 20 minutes from the Lake District. The property is a barn conversion with oak beams. Perfect for small families, couples, friends, and individuals. A perfect dog friendly home. In the village there is the Shepard’s Inn pub, where you can go for nice meals and drinks, and the award-winning Village Bakery. The local shop you can find close by in Langwathby. The nearest towns are Alston and Penrith.

Quaint Cottage in the heart of a village

An impressive one bedroomed cottage, situated in the heart of the village of Scotby, with the village shop and local pub literally on the doorstep. Gatesgarth is a 2 bedroomed traditional English cottage with self contained bathroom, kitchen & lounge, part of a 16th Century Inn, all overlooking the Eden Valley. Our kitchen has a log burner so you can unwind in a cozy atmosphere. This cottage has a private entrance and each room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the countryside. And you could choose to dine in our restaurant. Please check opening times as we do not open every day. Booking is also advisable.

Cosy Cottage near Cockermouth, Western Lakes

Our cottage is a converted lakeland barn in the village of Pardshaw, near Cockermouth. Ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, or families as a base for exploring the stunning Western Lake District. Loweswater is a ten minute drive away and Crummock, Buttermere , Keswick and the coast are all within half an hour. It's very cosy in the winter with comfy leather sofas and a woodburning stove, and there's a large 1st floor deck for Al Fresco dining in the summer.
