Secluded Off-Grid Mountain Cottage

Private stand-alone cottage on a beautiful farm 1.5 hours north of Cape town and 30-40 minutes from Elands Bay. This is a very simple, off-grid, self-catering cottage with beautiful mountain views, a dam to swim in and hiking access to the entire 2000 hectare farm. The farm has established hiking and mountain biking trails, horse riding on request and established sport and trad rock climbing routes. The cottage has two fireplaces, a gas stove, fridge, a 'donkey' water heater and solar power.

J’aime la Mer offers up to 2 guests (no children under 7 years) the opportunity to stay right on the beach in Paternoster. This ideally situated free standing cottage offers the best views of endless beaches. Not even a road in front of the cottage. There may be building activity taking place across the road to the back of the cottage. Back up batteries during power failures for lights, TV, Wi-Fi. Crayfish abalone not allowed on the premises. NO LOADSHEDDING! 15 kilowatts of solar which is shared with the main house. Zula is a small self contained, studio style beach cottage sleeping 2, on the beach. Perfect for doggy lovers as it has a private enclosed garden, set at the back of Zula Beach House which sleeps 10. Hi speed WiFi. A gas BBQ and a fireplace for the cold winters. on Langstrand Beach, away from the hustle and bustle. It is popular with surfers, kite and windsurfers. A pet fee applies. No children under 16.

Grysklip High Mountain Stone Cottage, Cederberg

This grey-stone cottage is built against a rock face which is a dramatic back wall for the interior. All the stone used for the walls was collected nearby, so the cottage disappears into the landscape. The views are spectacular in every direction. The interior is cosy with wooden floors and Cape furniture and Himalayan textiles. There are two 3/4 beds. The bathroom has a shower set against the rock-face, and there is a wonderful double outdoor bath.

Fever Tree Cottage

Fever Tree Cottage is a secluded one bedroom garden cottage on a private property in Riebeeck Kasteel, a mere 50 meters from the town centre. The main property is on a dirt road, overlooks a farm dam and magnificent mountain views. The cottage is private, quiet and set in a lovely tranquil bird-filled garden. It is so close to town, that you can walk anywhere. Retreat to the quiet garden cottage after a day of shopping, eating and exploring.
