King Hotel Room - First Floor at The Bluenose Inn

This is a 1st floor standard hotel room with a king bed in the Bluenose Inn. This room offers a large picture window but does not have a bay view. Guests have access to an outdoor pool, indoor pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, firepits, lawn games, business center, 24 hour coffee and tea, gift shop, on site breakfast restaurant, and Great Room Piano Lounge. You'll have a private entrance and easy access to town which is only half a mile away. Hike right from the cottage to the summit of Mt Battie or Mt Megunticook using the Sagamore Farm trail behind the property. Enjoy the distant Penobscot Bay views and watch the schooners sail by the Fox Island Thoroughfare.

Johns Island - on the water @ Bass Harbor Cottages

Johns Island is on the first floor of our historic three room Inn and has a wrap-around farmer's porch with a side-view across Bass Harbor. This room is street side and faces a meadow which is filled with lupines in the spring. Take the staircase to the shore, watch the tide change and look for your favorite shore bird - guillemots, loons and eagles are frequent visitors. Cozy Cottage with hotel amenities.

The cottages are reminiscent of the original roadside resorts enjoyed by motorists as they drove through and enjoyed mid-coast Maine. Cottages are located behind the main house, with parking available at each cottage and walking paths that lead to the back entrance of the main house of Country Inn. Guests in the cottages enjoy full use of all of the Country Inn amenities – the heated indoor pool, fitness center, delicious, country-style breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi, cable TV.

Great Spruce Head room in the Oakland House Inn

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond. The Oakland House has two private ocean beaches. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and even the Camden Hills! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock.

We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub, the Skylight room has a big skylight which overlooks our sunny yellow room with a queen bed. Enjoy those Bar Harbor starlit nights from this rooftop room. En Suite Bathroom has a shower. Breakfast is included with the room. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking spot, Fridge & WI-FI. Located on the third floor.
