This area is a wildlife haven and there is a very good chance you will spot red squirrels coming to feed on the bird table outside. Lovely view of the woods and gorgeous sunsets. Perfect spot for nature lovers.
The Old Merchant House, Portsoy Harbour“The Old Merchant House” is a stunning, iconic, grade A listed property sitting immediately on the harbour front in Portsoy and is located on the Moray Firth coastal footpath and National Cycle Route 1. The property has a date stone of 1726 and was originally the home of Alexander (Laird) Brebner, a famous merchant and renowned smuggler. The house featured in the 2016 remake of the film "Whisky Galore".

Less than two minutes from Findhorn Bay and a ten minute walk to the beach on the Moray Firth. Guests have their own access and sole use of the Boat Shed. With a very short walking distance to all the village shops, restaurants and cafes in Royal Deeside. WE have WiFi, Netflix and off street parking in our driveway. We have a lovely big garden to enjoy after your day exploring to relax in which can also be enjoyed with your four legged friend.
Whether rain or shine you will not be disappointed with the location of our beautiful house. Just a 2 minute walk to the local pub, the Harbour Bar and the Quayside restaurant / takeaway where you can enjoy their award winning Fish and Chips. At the top of the steps (33 in total) there is a village shop for your last minute essentials and a post office. Aberdeen is a 25 minute drive to the north and Dundee a 40 minute drive to the south with many small fishing villages in between.
Newly refurbished cosy Lodge in the countryside approx 1 and a half miles out of Newmachar. 1 bedroom, pull out sofa bed in living room and fully fitted kitchen. Artificial grass at the front with seating and BBQ Area. In Newmachar (around 30 minute walk on a quiet road or 2 minute drive) you will find a local shop, pharmacy, hairdresser, pub, restaurant, chip shop, Chinese and a couple of play parks. There is a bus service from Newmachar that takes you to Aberdeen city or further North.
No 10 is a super comfortable cozy little house for you to relax in! Right in the heart of Portsoy it is close to all the attractions but on a quiet street with a lovely south facing garden for sitting out. This is our family holiday house so a true home from home we'd love to share with you.
Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves lovely home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.
The cottage has spectacular views, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite). A small enclosed yard to the rear and a bench and parking area to the front. Included in the price is electricity and heating, a basket of logs and kindling for the log burning stove in the cottage, cupboard items such as tea, coffee. There is a smart tv, should you wish to use it (the view is the best tv!) and WiFi. The house is a traditional fishing cottage in a quiet village situated on the NE250 route.
