It was originally a grist mill that used water from the west branch of the Little Conestoga Creek to power a wheel used to grind flour. Located on a farm in the heart of Amish country and amid one of the largest concentrations of antiques in America, we are central to many attractions, yet quaint and secluded enough to provide a relaxing retreat. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The entire home has been newly renovated with thoughtful touches and an eclectic feel. Conveniences include a wood stove, sleep number mattress, Viking gas stovetop/oven, deck facing river with propane grill, a covered carport entry, and a 180* river view at the top of the property! Pets are welcome, there is a once per stay $20 pet fee. Two pets maximum please. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed.
