Situated in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this 18th century cottage offers a relaxing and comfortable stay with its own private garden. The Kent coast is easily accessible by car (Deal, Folkestone, Hythe & Dungeness) as is the historic town of Canterbury. The house is perfectly located for a short break from London (15-minute taxi from Ashford International) or a stopover when travelling to or from the Continent with the Eurotunnel and Dover Port within 30 minutes drive.

Dough Cottage, a stylish stay in Whitstable

Welcome to Dough Cottage, Whitstable. We offer a personal touch; a homely and comfortable space, where you can cook in our modern, fully stocked kitchen, then dine indoors, or venture out to the sunny, enclosed garden. Make use of the charcoal barbecue and comfy sun-trap seating area. In the evening, stay cosy around the smart TV with Netflix, and library of DVDs or listen to music, play board games and have a leisurely look through the varied books and magazines. Enjoy a break from home at this centrally-located fisherman’s cottage. Perfect for a staycation with so much to do in the area. Newly renovated with all modern amenities, there are three comfortable bedrooms (1 kingsize, 1 double, 1 small double). There is one bathroom with a walk in shower. A small garden with charcoal bbq & furniture available. The beach is also one minute’s walk away, if that! For families there is a playground on the doorstep and items for babies/toddlers available.

Waverley Cottage is in the heart of Whitstable's Conservation Area just a stone's throw from the harbour, beach and bustling High Street. There are 2 bright and airy bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. It is a perfect base for couples, family and friends to enjoy all that Whitstable has to offer. Waverley Cottage is opposite a friendly, historic pub that sometimes has live music and tables outside, so may disturb children at night. PLEASE NOTE there is free street parking but no driveway.

This fisherman’s cottage dates back to 1810, is full of period charm, and sympathetically decorated with antique, comfortable furniture. The cottage has a mature garden with side access, and is set down several steps meaning it feels nice and private. The cottage has steep stairs and some low ceilings.
