Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Perfect for a couple, family or small group of friends looking to enjoy the great outdoors. Only 22 minutes to Whakapapa ski field, and 25 to the Tongariro Crossing or to Ohakune. Amazing skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
