A cozy getaway for couples, nomad workers, families, pets, bikers, hikers... all love our 750 sf cabin with pond and huge yard. Full kitchen, large balcony-deck, fire pit, pond, and parking for 4 cars. The "Hop River Trail" is just steps from our driveway. Walk a 1/2 mile to a lovely meandering waterfall, or walk for miles if you love a good hike. Just 15-min drive to Manchester, Vernon, UCONN Storrs; only 30-min to Hartford, casinos, airports. All bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor, may not be suitable for those with mobility issues,family owned wineries nearby and a micro brewery. 20 min to major highway. Small downtown village area with restaurants and groceries. 30 min from Bryant University and about one hour from Newport, Boston and beaches. Hosts live two houses away

My place is located up the hill from Good Speed Opera House. The Opera House is on the same side of the river as my place. The folklore is that vacationers used to pay a penny to have their belongings transported by ox and wagon from the port at the river to this corner. A two family home built in 1884. The space is a ground level 1 bedroom apartment with private entrance. There is no TV in the unit, WIFI is available for your devices.
