This is a great local coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Venice. top notch coffee, great pastries and desserts and cool vibes. I'm down with their low prices and quick service to get me back on my adventure!

I personally am not one for crowds, or the hype of Santa Monica - BUT I love skateboarding to the Pier as the sun goes down and then riding the ferris wheel into darkness. How fun is it to look at the person you're with and say "would you like to ride off into the sunset with me?" ;)

While out on the boardwalk you've got to swing over to the skatepark! Always a mix of ages and skills you will see people doing crazy stunts and flying through the air! Professional riders frequent here and you are always guaranteed a show! One amazing thing you will discover, is how welcoming and supportive skaters are - always teaching and encouraging people learning and advancing their skills. I spend hours here mesmerized at their athletic and daredevil feats!

This short yet elevated hike is a great way to explore for a few hours. Bring a hat! Once at the top you get 360* views of DTLA, Malibu, the Mighty Pacific and a huge portion of LA. It is a short 15-20 min drive from my place and if you are here in the late winter/early spring there is a river and waterfall to take in and enjoy! Parking is $7 in the park or you can park on the street and hike up.

Up at the observatory there are views of the entire city as far as the eye can see, the hollywood hills, the ocean and the hollywood sign. They used to film Batman scenes in the caves way back in the day!

Whether you are just taking a stroll under the twinkle lights, having a cocktail at The Victorian or stopping by the Food trucks on a Tuesday night (til 8) - it's always a nice way to spend a few hours!
