Villa Borghese is surrounded by one of the largest and most beautiful public parks in Rome, stretching from above Piazza del Popolo to the top of Via Veneto.
This villa was constructed at the beginning of the 17th century for Cardinal Scipione Caffarelli Borghese, nephew of Pope Paul V.
Despite the onward march of the years and extensive developmental changes to Rome, Villa Borghese has remained a green and pleasant space.
There are museums, a theatre, a bio park, a lake, a winter ice skating piste, rollerblade and skateboarders space as well as numerous fountains dotted throughout.
The Park was originally a private vineyard, redesigned and enlarged in 1605 to grandiose proportions for pope Paul V's nephew, the Cardinal Scipione Borghese. However, it was named after the Borghese family on the condition that it boasted the most luxurious and magnificent dwelling in Rome.
The art museum in the park, was originally designed not only to house the Cardinal's art collection, but also to be a "villa of delights". Various architects, including the Dutch designer Jan Van Staten, known to Italians as Vasanzio and the garden designer Jerome Rainaldi, participated in its creation. The Park was divided into three sections: the first was to be wooded, the second, more artistic, with statues, sculptures and perspectives, and the third more wild and "natural".

The station’s outdoor area has been transformed and boasts street food vendors, concerts, dj sets, a cocktail bar and drive-in cinema; while the inside the station there are 2 dancefloors, a BYOB video art project and a special surprise space. I would go to experience a new kind of venue and creative space.

SAID began as a chocolate factory in the 1920s, and has since evolved into a bistro, serving lunch and dinner to accompany its decadent chocolate desserts. The restaurant includes a shop for purchasing take-away sweets to bring home. I like to sample some chocolates or caprese cake and whiskey on their sofas!

I loved this gallery and the gardens around it. I would suggest to Pre book tickets as there the ticket shop gets very busy. Beautiful Bernini Sculptures on beautiful grounds. You can get a light lunch on premise and sit outside. An amazing experience I always like to repeat.
