Round House is a great restaurant. Full stop.
But it's much more, it's also an amazing setting. My favorite is to go there for lunch picnic (reservation) on the Rumbullion Lawns.

The food is good, but the main reason to have lunch or dinner at Harbour House is the amazing location on the harbour rocks of Kalk Bay. If you sit in the front row, expect waves to potentially splash some water against them.
My recommendation is to let the day end at Habour House after you have done a day tour around the Cape Pensinsula.

My recommendation is to let the day end at Habour House after you have done a day tour around the Cape Pensinsula.
Olympic Cafe is a cafe, but also a restaurant. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is just relaxed and cool.
Another reason to make the way to Kalk Bay is the Olympic Bakery that belongs to the restaurant. You enter the bakery from behind the house. I personally believe you can buy there the best bread in Cape Town. And I could die for their Florentinas.

Sightseeing
A must do when in town. Walk up the mountain (take enough time and water) or take the cable car. The base station is just a few minutes by car from the house. We recommend to book tickets online upfront. That significantly reduces queuing.

It's Africa's most visited tourist attraction. But it's worth going there at least once. And there are plenty of great restaurants as well.

You go there for shopping, but it's much more. The Old Biscuit Mitt is in the heart of Woodstock, as sometimes rather dodgy neighborhood. But since Cape Town being the World's Design Capital 2014, this is changing rapidly. Woodstock is the center of this design and arts movement. Going to the Old Biscuit Mill is especially recommended on Saturdays. Then the Neighborhood Market runs from 9 am to 3 pm.

Clifton is wind-sheltered, that makes these beaches so popular. When there is no wind, you should also try Camp Bay beach. Very different vibe. Easier access and plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes right on the beach.

The Winelands should be a chapter on its own. As they are a world on its own. Only a 30 minute drive from town, you are entering a picturesque wine landscape that reminds you of the Provence or Tuscany on first sight. But you will quickly figure out that it's a very own world. Towns and villages like Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Wellingtom, Riebeek Valley and others are offering so much that it would take to much space here to name anything specific.

South Africa and Cape Town are known for great golf. If you are a golfer, you probably have well prepared to play at all great courses in the region.
Here I only want to recommend one course: the Metropolitan Golf Club right by the Football Stadium in Green Point. It's probably one of the best maintained inner city golf clubs you will ever play. And the views are breathtaking.
It's even meaningful if you don't want to spend too much time with golfing while in town. Just play 9 holes. It takes you 10 minutes to get to the club, and after 2.5 hours you will be back home.
