Call ahead for a lunch or dinner reservations. Highly recommended favorite of many locals, and our personal restaurant and bar of choice in Ocean Beach. Serves contemporary American, Italian, and seafood dishes, as well as great selection of wines, beers, and fun island cocktails. Late night dancing and drinks on the Great South Bay on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Matty’s Market also has the freshest fish, shellfish, and seafood sold on the island. Fish market staff are very knowledgeable and Matty’s is highly recommended for buying fresh seafood to cook at home. Also sells gourmet meats and cheeses, dips and spreads, fresh vegetables, artisan breads, pastries and desserts, pastas, salads, coffees, and other gourmet cooking items. Matty’s Market entrance is up the stairs as part of Matthew’s Seafood House restaurant. They can sometimes deliver during the day if the restaurant is not too busy. Matthew’s Seafood House is located at the start of Ocean Beach, near the bike rack and water tower. About a 10 minute bike ride or 25 minute walk from our Cottage in Ocean Bay Park.
