Mozart's home and the beautiful city of Salzburg is a good day outing at any time of year, before December 24 is the Christmas market and music festivals at Easter and Summer. The Sound of Music tour is a good summer tour to see real Austrian scenery.

The old town of Salzburg. A lot of beautiful things to do and see there. You can get to the fortress from there, to the famous "Getreidegasse" with mozarts birthplace etc. etc.
