Super cheap drinks! They do not serve cocktails but fernet, beer and wine have very good prices. Playing pool is an option.

Excellent pub in San Telmo, good craft beers, vermouth, and great cheap food. Crowded but very friendly.

Puerta Roja - Chacabuco 733 La Puerta Roja ('the red door', which is all that marks the spot) is a pleasure: a classic, no-nonsense bar. Happy hour on certain spirits and microbrewery beers, and there's a pool table with plenty of space to swing a cue. The menu features cheap, tasty and filling food such as shish kebabs with rice and hummus alongside a range of sandwiches.
