Point zero of Rome. Beautiful square with the whitening Botticino marble Altare of Fatherland., the Vittoriano. From here starts Via del Corso, 2 km long, which leads to the beautiful Piazza del Popolo. Also from here the Fori imperiali road which leads, in 5 minutes walking, to the Coliseum. Important Vittoriano museum usually with famous painter exhibition.

A place where modern history has sadly stopped. Here, Benito Mussolini, head of the Fascist dictatorship, held the windows of the "Venezia" palace to hold his speeches to which he was obliged to attend. The square takes its name from the architectural style in which it is built, very similar to that of the ducal palaces of the Venetian maritime republic.
