A very pretty trail with gorgeous valley and forest views. It's 2.5 miles to the end (5 miles round trip) and you'll gain about 1500 feet. From Kahalui, get on Hwy 340 heading north. At .9 miles past mile market 6, you'll see the road to Maluhia Boy Scout Camp. Another .9 miles up the road (past the gate), is the trailhead. At the end of the trail is a small deck with a picnic table, with magnificent views. Best to start the hike early to avoid the clouds which diminish the views.

This is a great hike with amazing views of the Valley Isle if you get up there on a clear day. Go early to beat the heat and the crowds. Tip: Drive all the way up the road to the top parking lot. You don't want to park in the lower lot and take the long walk up!!
