This is a bar/restaurant that serves my favorite gumbo in the city (I prefer chicken and andouille with shrimp and not all seafood). They also have amazing poboys. I love the breathtaking beef poboy and garlic oyster poboy. And, if you like beer order a draft beer in a frosted fish bowl mug. It is amazing on a hot day. And we have a lot of hot days. You will also run into friendly locals. Chat them up for their recommendations too.

Do you want gumbo? Liuzza’s by the Track serves the best gumbo in the city. The place is tiny and busy, but a wait is worth it. The garlic oysters also delight.
