I walk to nearby trail heads which begin at Lee Hill Road and go along the foothills of the Rockies. There are many more Boulder hiking trails from Chautauqua and other locations.

Right in town and up against the mountains lies Wonderland Lake. It's a small picturesque area and you can circle the lake and/or gain a little elevation by tromping up the paths on the hillsides.

Gorgeous lake to walk around. Trails lead over to the shopping area around Yarmouth and N. Broadway. From there, you can rent a bike at Boulder Cycle Sport and head out to the extensive bike trails at Boulder Valley Ranch or to the Boulder Reservoir.
