Immortalized in Joel Plaskett’s “The New California” song, the legendary (infamous?) Gold Range is a bit rough and tumble, but it is the only place that features live music nearly every night of the week. It opens early and stays open until 2am.

It's kind of a legendary spot but it can be super sketchy. I do not recommend for single women but can be interesting for groups to see an old time Yellowknife drinking spot.
