Island
“Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay located in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, just 27km offshore from Cairns, and one of the most popular destinations on the Great Barrier Reef for visitors coming to Far North Queensland. With travel time only 45 minutes by fast catamaran to Green Island, it makes for a great day out or convenient half day experience.”

Island
“Fitzroy Island is located twenty-nine kilometres south-east of Cairns, with transfers taking only 45 minutes by high speed ferry. One of the most unspoiled islands on the Great Barrier Reef, the majority of Fitzroy Island is National Island Park - this includes mangroves, open woodland, tropical pristine rainforest and coral beaches best experienced by the walking trails around the island. Some of the activities you can participate in while visiting Fitzroy Island include walking and hiking trails, snorkelling, swimming, sea kayaking, ocean trampoline, viewing the reef by glass bottom boat or simply relaxing to take it all in.”

Park
“They have the Army Duck that takes you into the lagoon that has crocodiles - one of the best tours we have taken. There is lots of activities including feeding the wallabies. If you get it as part of the four park pass - it can be a great way to see everything but within a budget. Please visit website for tours available”

Zoo
“Located at the top of the Reef Casino is the Dome. You can either do the entry only which gets you up close with the animals, including a real crocodile. Look out for Chloe that does the talks about snakes and other animals - she is great. For those more adventurous you can do the Zoom circuit - which my niece and nephew just LOVE to do - particularly when you have to zip over the top of the crocodile!!”
