Nice park, famous of it's outdoor activities! It has an outdoor gym, which is totally free for everyone, often people play streetball there and time after time they make a larger events, combining sports activities with hip-hop battles and so on

The total area of Grīziņkalns Park is 10.4 ha. In the park, both local and other species of trees and shrubs, originating in nature, grow more often and less frequently. Already in 1885, the plan for the construction of the city was intended to install a park on a 24-meter high sand dune. The installation of the park continued until 1911.
