Interesting pub for just a drink, or food (especially Sunday roast)... a nice crowd-less walk following the river.

Captain Kidd is a fantastic riverside location with excellent beer ( Sam Smith's ) and very good pub food. Sit outside if the sun is shining and watch the boats go by. Oh, and try the Sunday lunch !

The Captain Kidd is named after one of history's most notorious plunderers, William Kidd, who was eventually hanged hereabouts at a notorious gallows known as Execution Dock. Beer garden with stunning river views!

The old warehouse location adds to the briny charm of the place, and the large windows overlooking the Thames are a joy. There's plenty of space in the large ground-floor bar, with further room and a restaurant upstairs. The adjacent yard gives an outdoor riverside option in the summer. The usual…
