Nice free park where you can spot monkeys. We also recommend Cha-Am mountain park for hiking possibilities and bat spotting.

This is by no means up to the National Park standards but if you fancy a relaxed day amid some pretty scenery then Cha-Am forest park is definitely a worthwhile choice. Situated on Phetkasem Road, it is easily reached by taking the Narathip junction when coming from the direction of the beach. The 665,600sqm park is part of Don Masang National Reserved Forest and sits on a lowland area covered in casuarina trees, cacti and a wide range of tropical plants. Crisscrossing the park, a large, freeform lake is home to several species of water fowl. If you are lucky, you might be able to spot a few peacocks, monkeys and palm civets.

On the highway from Cha-Am to Hua Hin in Thailand you will find after a short distance the Cha-Am Forest Park. This natural Forest Park has been left in its natural state and many birds and mammals, like wild living monkeys, have now settled there again. This small but very beautiful Forest Park on established on the 4th March 1992. It offers long walks protected by shady trees and an unique flora and fauna. Especially in the morning you will see many rare birds, big lizards and other exotic animals. An asphalted path invites you to an early morning jog in the nature.
