Historic because it is the birthplace of Banff National Park. Make sure you visit the Cave with the Basin, but also take the time to do the nature walk to the marshes below. Sometimes you get lucky enough to see wildlife or catch a glimpse of the garter snakes that live there due to the natural hot springs.

Where it all began; take a walk back in time and learn how the hot springs were discovered and how it drew people in from all over and eventually lead to the Town you see today. This is a very unique habitat to the rockies - can you guess why? A MUST EXPERIENCE while in Banff!

Canada's first national park, with hot mineral springs in a cave & an outdoor, emerald-colored pool.

It's nice to take a tour to see what started it all.

Small but informative historic site with great interactive exhibitions about the hot springs, Banff railway and the development into the famous tourist town and national park.
