This is an iconic historic site is worth seeing to understand some Vietnamese history as well as look at some pre-1975 french style architecture. This was a must do. The ticket price was reasonable, and you are allowed to stay as long as you like. On the grounds, the place has a café and seating areas.

Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập), also known as Reunification Palace (Dinh Thống Nhất), built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Saigon, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
