The Root Beer Adobe Hotel

A striking 1890's adobe dwelling located in the renowned historic Barrio Viejo district. Time Capsule is a unique experience in an space age module dropped in the middle of an 11 acres desert sanctuary and sculpture park, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. Enjoy the quietness of the desert in a safe environment located at just 35 minutes from downtown Tucson. Because of the refinement of the interior design we cannot accept any pet, service animal, nor children in the Time Capsule. Please note that check in is in person only and not later than 10:00PM. This adobe casita is named for its interior ceiling made of Saguaro ribs, or "latillas" which were a building material of choice before wood and metal became more readily available with the arrival of the railroads in the 1880's. Notable for having one of the largest concentrations of 19th Century adobe structures in the country, Barrio Viejo is one of Tucson's most appealing and colorful neighborhoods.

This is the perfect little HOuse in the Desert and brand new! We are available to you and very close in the main house on the other side of the property. The houses are separated by a large brick wall.

This unique, spacious, updated & authentic adobe is located in the historic Barrio Viejo of Tucson, nestled between downtown and Five Points. This desert Adobe has been abandoned since the 1970’s, but is now revitalized with new amenities, exposing the beautiful adobe walls and preserving the original ceilings. The fully stocked kitchen includes a gas range, dishwasher and granite countertops. Enjoy the smart TV in both the bedroom and living room.
