Beautiful unique house with a taste of wilderness

This is a peaceful little getaway with a lot of options. The home is nestled in the trees right on the Willow Creek Greenbelt, with a trail, ancient trees, and babbling Willow creek. The greenbelt is accessed from the back of the lot. Amidst the beautiful juniper, piñon, and ponderosa pines on the lot are beautiful mountain views from the back yard and the house. It a perfect place to reconnect with nature. There is a steep staircase (with a sturdy hand rail) to the bedroom to be aware of.

At elevation 9,300, enjoy a wide, jaw-dropping view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The wind sings through the pines and wildlife abounds. No mosquitos, just hummingbirds! We provide lots of info about fun places within striking distance. In the fully outfitted cabin are Old West music and radio show albums, and games, puzzles, and books - many of those with a Western theme like much of decor. The cabin is in a quiet and secluded part of Crestone that is amazing for sunrises over the Sangre De Cristo mountains sunsets off the front porch across the San Luis Valley, and stargazing. Includes a well stocked kitchen, split wood for the wood stove, fenced back yard, and cedar wood hot tub. Pet friendly (NO FEES)! Great access to Great Sand Dunes National Park, hot springs, hiking, 14ers, spiritual centers, Alligator Farm, and UFO tower. A short drive to downtown Crestone!

The Rustic La Garita Cabin

This 1000sq ft cabin in the country with a very rural setting. It is quiet and relaxing, has a wood stove and is close to outdoor activities. Penitent Canyon, La Garita, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4wheeling, ATV trails, snowmobiling, skiing (Wolf Creek is 50 min drive). It has a canal running by in the summer. Self-serve breakfast with home-made yogurt, home-made granola, home-made bread for toast, local grown organic eggs, (hot coffee, chocolate, tea) on request.
