The Pluismeer is a small lake in the nature reserve south of Lage Vuursche in the Laagte van Pijnenburg. Het Pluismeer borders the De Stulp nature reserve. The excavated water originated when the sandstone factory next to it poured out soil. In 1996, the Pluismeer was cleaned, so that on the poor sandy soil a fen vegetation (sundew, white beak, bell gentian, peat fluff) got a chance. The name is derived from the many wollegras that grow around the lake. Cows graze on some of the terrain around it. There is a bird watching hut near the Pluismeertje. The area is located on a hiking trail from Lage Vuursche. In the winter the shallow lake is popular with ice skaters.
