This is a beautiful park, surrounded by massive redwood trees, and hiking trails. Dogs on leash are very welcome on the main trails. It's located on Armstrong Woods Road, several miles north of Guerneville. It's definitely worth a visit!

My favorite river beach
The Russian River is a beautiful water body, with a relatively calm current. The beach area to the west of the bridge is a great spot to lounge and float on the water, and it's very dog friendly :-) It also affords great views of the surrounding redwoods!

Located just south of the mouth of the Russian River, this beach is one of my favorites, with massive and interesting rocks off the coast, driftwood structures on the beach, and beautiful plant material on the cliffs above. Always a windy, and mostly cold spot (bring layers to stay warm), and definitely a unique coastal experience.

Goat Rock State Beach - Sonoma Coast State Park
