You can't miss Galway! "Galway, a harbour city on Ireland’s west coast, sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s hub is 18th-century Eyre Square, a popular meeting spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music. Nearby, stone-clad cafes, boutiques and art galleries line the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter, which retains portions of the medieval city walls."

One of the most visited tourist locations in Ireland, the cliffs are well worth the trip. The Cliffs of Moher are a unique and special sight in County Clare on Ireland's west coast. They rise as high as 200 meters straight up from the Atlantic waves. Just stay on the path when it's windy!

Food scene

The best place for coffee and good conversation. Tell Julie you're staying at Amelia and Teresa's AirBnB, and give her our regards. Julie serves crepes, tea, coffee, and a variety of homemade cakes. It's a small and cosy place designed to make people put down their phones, and have a chat.

"Indian food in Athenry?!" you might say. Living in Amsterdam this place one that I regularly miss. Seriously. So good. Everyone so far has been blown away. They do THE BEST vegan options (ask for no cream in the spinach and chickpea dish, and the mushroom bhaji). If you're not vegan, no worries - I've heard the rest of their food is also amazing, it's a good price, they're lovely, and you can pick it up from their restaurant less than 5 minutes away and bring it back to the house to enjoy in front of a film.

Their description: 'Dan's Bar is a friendly local pub with good value, tasty food and a great atmosphere. Very popular with sporting fans. There's a lovely beer garden out back for when the Irish weather is kind to us. The staff are welcoming and the kitchen staff are stars! It's not fine dining but our food will keep you going and at very good prices. There's a lovely cosy fire on in the winter and creamy pints of Guinness. Pop in for a chat, a game of cards or to fuel you during your day.'
