This is really fun Egyptian cafe/restaurant with shisha and fantastic Egyptian pasta dishes; it is also located on rd 9 a popular street with loads of shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Beautiful art and lounge space. They offer yoga classes, and on the weekend's they host concerts. They also have a lot of rooms to relax, meditate, and read. This is about a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Please note there is a 40le entrance fee that lasts you the whole day and comes with a drink on the house.

My favorite art space. They have a contemporary art museum, rooftop concerts, and beautiful shops with handmade items. The location is also close to the famous coptic "hanging church" and other touristy sites in Old Cairo.

Tunis Village in Fayoum, Egypt is about a 2-hour drive. This is an excellent spot for a day trip, the village has beautiful pottery and is located near a lake. Close to Tunis Village is another beautiful spot with waterfalls in the middle of the desert.
