This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in WNC. We love the table-side guacamole and the margaritas. Fajitas and quesadillas are great too. Located near The Outlet Mall.

Located about 10 minutes away, the Moose serves up Southern food in a “meat and 3” style. It’s next door to the Asheville Farmer’s Market so many of the dishes are farm-to-table.

I highly recommend the pizzas, the Greek salads and the sub sandwiches. The burgers are even great. Go see these folks while you’re here. Carry out available.

Incredible place for breakfast or lunch. Sunny Point is located smack in the middle of Haywood Rd and West Asheville. Like everything , it’s only a few minutes away.

Damn good pie. This is one of our favorite pizza joints for carry-out. They also have a great bar scene with large screen TVs in case you don't want to eat in. Galactic is located on Sardis Rd. only about 1.5 miles away from our home.

Sections of the parkway are typically closed during the winter depending on weather.

When Thomas Wolfe looked homeward, Asheville is the town he referenced. Wolfe grew up in this house, located downtown near many of the sites. His mother ran it as a boarding house and "Look Homeward Angel" proved to be his most popular work based on this house (and Asheville of course). The Riverside Cemetery is where the Wolfe clan is interred. Both are well worth a visit.
